Actitudes y conocimientos sobre donación voluntaria de sangre en los adultos maduros del distrito de Ferreñafe, 2025

Abstract

LA ORGANIZACIÓN MUNDIAL DE LA SALUD, advierte que, a nivel global, existe apenas un donante voluntario por cada 1 000 personas, lo que evidencia la necesidad de sensibilización. Por ello el presente estudio tuvo como objetivo: determinar la relación entre las actitudes y el nivel de conocimiento sobre donación voluntaria de sangre en adultos maduros del distrito de Ferreñafe, 2025. Se enmarcó en el enfoque cuantitativo, no experimental, transversal, analítico y correlacional, la muestra estuvo conformada por 374 adultos de 30 a 59 años, calculada mediante la fórmula para población finita y seleccionada a través de un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. La información se recolectó mediante un cuestionario de 16 ítems para evaluar el conocimiento y una escala Likert de 12 ítems para medir las actitudes, ambos instrumentos validados por expertos (p < 0,05; índice = 0,002 y 0,019) y con adecuada confiabilidad (KR-20 = 0,82; Alfa de Cronbach = 0,776). La investigación fue anónima, codificada y se desarrolló conforme a los principios de Belmont. El análisis de datos se realizó con apoyo de Microsoft Excel 2019 y SPSS. Losresultados muestran que el 43,6 % presentó actitudes negativas y el 56,4 % actitudes indiferentes, sin registrarse actitudes positivas. En cuanto al conocimiento, el 39 % fue deficiente y el 61 % regular. Se concluye que existe una correlación significativa: las actitudes negativas se asocian con bajo conocimiento y las actitudes indiferentes con conocimiento regular

THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION warns that, at the global level, there is barely one voluntary blood donor per 1 000 people, highlighting the urgent need for awareness. Therefore, the present study aimed to determine the relationship between attitudes and the level of knowledge about voluntary blood donation in middle-aged adults from the district of Ferreñafe, 2025. The research was framed within a quantitative, non-experimental, crosssectional, analytical, and correlational design. The sample consisted of 374 adults aged 30 to 59 years, calculated using the finite population formula and selected through non-probabilistic convenience sampling. Data were collected through a 16-item questionnaire to assess knowledge and a 12-item Likert scale to measure attitudes, both validated by experts (p < 0.05; index = 0.94) and with adequate reliability (KR-20 = 0,82; Cronbach’s Alpha = 0,776). The study was anonymous, coded, and conducted in accordance with the Belmont principles. Data analysis was carried out using Microsoft Excel 2019 and SPSS. The results showed that 43,6 % of participants presented negative attitudes and 56,4 % showed indifferent attitudes, with no positive attitudes recorded. Regarding knowledge, 39 % was classified as poor and 61 % as fair. It is concluded that there is a significant correlation: negative attitudes are associated with poor knowledge, while indifferent attitudes are related to fair knowledge.
