Resumen
Las carreteras no pavimentadas tienen la responsabilidad de unir pueblos y ciudades, pero les hace falta mantenimiento, de igual manera encontramos escasos protocolos para sus cuidados. Debido a esto la presente investigación tiene como finalidad encontrar una nueva alternativa para este problema, presentando a los polímeros como una gran opción de cuidado y conservación para la construcción de vías. De acuerdo a esto, la presente tesis se enfocará en el estabilizador Z con polímero, el cual al adicionarse se encargará de la mejoría de suelos arcillosos, teniendo en cuenta mejorar las propiedades físico-mecánicas de los ejemplares que se extraerán de las subrasantes arcillosas de lugar de estudio, realizándose mediante la evaluación de indicadores tales como CBR, Proctor, Límites de Atterberg, estipulación del contenido de humedad y Granulometría. Además, se sabe que este polímero es mucho más rentable a diferencia de otros estabilizadores, disminuyendo los costos en el mejoramiento del
suelo arcilloso, de igual manera el importe para adquirir este producto es mínimo. Con esta propuesta presentada en la investigación, mejora notablemente el suelo arcilloso, obteniendo beneficios tanto para el medio ambiente y la economía en la construcción. Los resultados demuestran que el uso del estabilizador Z con polímero ofrece aumento de la resistencia del suelo arcilloso con diferentes índices de plasticidad. Finalmente se observa que, al adicionarse el estabilizador con polímero al suelo arcilloso, se perfeccionará la densidad seca de este suelo, se encontrará con menos vacíos, más adherido y compactado, influenciando de forma positiva en el índice de plasticidad.
The unpaved roads have the responsibility of connecting towns and cities, but they need maintenance, likewise we find few protocols for their care. Because of this, this research aims to find a new alternative to this problem, presenting polymers as a great care and conservation option for road construction. According to this, this thesis will focus on the stabilizer Z with polymer, which, when added, will be responsible for the improvement of clay soils, taking into account the improvement of the physical-mechanical properties of the samples that will be extracted from the clay subsoil of the study site, being carried out through the measurement of indicators such as CBR, Proctor, Atterberg Limits, Determination of moisture content and Granulometry. In addition, it is known that this polymer is much more profitable than other stabilizers, decreasing the costs in the improvement of the clay soil, likewise the amount to acquire this product is minimal. With this kind of improvement presented in the research, the clay soil improves remarkably, obtaining both environmental and economic benefits in construction. The results show that the use of the Z stabilizer with polymer offers increased strength of the clay soil with different plasticity indices. Finally, it is observed that by adding the stabilizer with polymer to the clay soil, the dry density of this soil will be perfected, it will be found with fewer voids, more adhered and compacted, positively influencing the plasticity index.
