The Lurifico sector in Chepén hosts, according to Supreme Resolution No. 505-74-ED (05.12.74), the National Monument House and Dependencies of the former Lurifico Hacienda (Commission of Culture and Cultural Heritage, 2018). Currently, its remaining buildings have become spaces of informal use and functional precariousness which, together with urban elements such as the irrigation canal of the same name and suboptimal infrastructure, ultimately configure an urban environment that is unfavorable for its development. This research report presents a body of reference literature aimed at understanding and studying urban cities and their eco-friendly components with distinctive profiles, such as heritage, water systems, public space, and community aspects, in order to propose a revitalization of the sector based on ecourban planning parameters. To achieve this, the study articulates a methodology in which specific analytical instruments provide a tangible understanding of the monumental setting and the sector’s precarious and degraded dynamics, where public space is limited and fails to integrate the existing natural and infrastructural resources. Finally, the project proposes a macro-block that prioritizes pedestrian circulation and internal connections within the walls, restores the heritage buildings, recomposes green structures, and transforms the edges of the irrigation canal into safe, well-lit public spaces integrated into an eco-urban revitalization scheme for the Lurifico sector, incorporating active and practical strategies, universal accessibility, cultural identity, and new opportunities for the community.
