Evidence-based practice (EBP) integrates the best available evidence and patient and family experience to improve the quality of care. Although it offers benefits, it faces professional barriers that hinder its implementation. Therefore, the objective of this research was to determine the level of knowledge, attitude, and use of evidence-based practices among nursing professionals in level II hospitals in the department of Lambayeque, 2024. The study outlines a quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental, and cross-sectional methodology, with a stratified sample of 157 nursing professionals, of which 50 were from Belén Lambayeque Hospital and 107 from Las Mercedes Chiclayo Hospital. The Clinical Effectiveness and Evidence-Based Practice Questionnaire (EBPQ-19) was used, with an internal reliability of ?-CMB = 0.94. The data were processed with descriptive statistics using Microsoft Excel, employing absolute and relative frequencies, as well as measures of central tendency and dispersion, according to the variable, nature, and level of measurement. The results showed excellent performance in the variables of this study, with attitude being the most notable dimension (5.72, 6 and ± 1.62), followed by knowledge (5.23, 5 and ± 1.22) and use (4.87, 5 and ± 1.59), respectively. In conclusion, although an excellent level of knowledge, attitude, and use of EBP is evident, several factors can affect the integration of scientific evidence into healthcare practice, highlighting the importance of developing strategies that facilitate its implementation in the professional field.
